MIGRANT JOURNAL will always treat customers’ and users’ personal data with the utmost respect. Any information you share with us will be kept safe and will only be used to provide the best possible service – we will never sell or otherwise trade your personal data with any other organisations. MANDATORY INFORMATION
When you purchase a single issue or subscription from us, you will need to provide personal information like name, email address, shipping and billing addresses. We use Shopify as our online shop, you can read Shopify's privacy policy here. This information is stored securely on their servers, so that we know who ordered what and on which date.

When you buy from us, you will need to provide payment details in one of the following forms:
– Card payment, processed by Stripe
– PayPal payment, processed by PayPal

Your payment details are processed and stored securely by the payment providers named above. Migrant Journal does not process or store your card or bank account details. Read about Stripe, and PayPal’s privacy policies.

Shipping addresses and telephone numbers (for tracked orders only) are shared securely with Newsstand, our fulfilment provider, so that they can package and dispatch magazines via Royal Mail and DHL. Newsstand receive limited information from us and they will not use this information for any purpose other than packing and dispatching magazines. Read about Newsstand’s privacy policy.

When making a purchase online, you can choose to receive marketing emails or not. By default, you do not agree to receive such emails. We send about six emails a year. When we launch the pre-orders for a new issue, when we launch a new issue, when we launch a call for proposal for a new issue. May you decided to receive marketing emails or not, you will receive transactional emails (i.e. emails to confirm your order, to notify you of shipping, etc.).

We use Shopify to manage transactional emails and Mailchimp to manage marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of the email. Read about Mailchimp’s privacy policy.

CONTENT
Our CMS (content management system) is provided by Shopify. Read Shopify’s privay policy. We also use the following services to help present the content we share on social media:
– Instagram
– Twitter
– Facebook


SECURITY
Our website uses https, which means that anything sent between your device and our servers will be encrypted. Our SSL certificate tells you that pages you visit on our website are provided by us. Our website is hosted on secure servers by Shopify.
